The Kingdom of Eswatini is facing significant challenges with a struggling economy and a staggering 65% youth unemployment rate. This dire situation has had devastating effects, as it has relegated the country’s youth to deep levels of poverty, depression, and frustration. The youth of Eswatini have been pushed to the brink, with reports of substance abuse, suicide, and gender-based violence on the rise. These alarming trends underscore the urgent need for support and intervention to address the underlying issues contributing to the distress experienced by the young population.

In addition to the economic struggles, Eswatini is also grappling with the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS, further compounding the challenges faced by the nation. The prevalence of HIV/AIDS has left behind a significant number of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs) who lack proper support systems. With no one to look up to and a future that seems bleak, these OVCs find themselves in a position where they must rely on their own resilience to carve out a future from seemingly insurmountable circumstances. The situation calls for concerted efforts and collaborative initiatives to provide these vulnerable children with the necessary tools, resources, and guidance to navigate their path towards a brighter future.

The plight of Eswatini’s youth and orphaned children highlights the critical need for sustainable interventions that address the root causes of poverty, lack of opportunities, and social disparities. By focusing on holistic approaches that encompass education, mental health support, and community empowerment, there is hope for a transformative change that can positively impact the lives of the youth and vulnerable children in the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Our Mission

Our mission is to nurture the spiritual growth of young people through Gospel-centred discipleship, helping them grow in their knowledge of God and live according to His Word and principles.

Building upon this spiritual foundation, we empower young people with essential life skills, confidence, leadership abilities and an entrepreneurial mindset. We equip them to develop sustainable livelihoods, take charge of their futures and become innovative leaders and changemakers in their communities.

Aims and Objectives

Unity Gospel Foundation aims to:

Create supportive environments in which young people can grow spiritually, socially and economically while discovering and fulfilling their God-given purpose.

Promote spiritual growth by helping young people develop a deeper knowledge of God, understand His Word and apply Christian principles in their daily lives.

Provide discipleship, mentorship and guidance that build strong character, confidence, integrity, responsibility and a heart for serving others.

Help young people identify their God-given gifts, talents and abilities, and equip them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to develop and responsibly monetise them.

Equip young people with entrepreneurship, financial management, leadership and vocational skills that enable them to establish and successfully manage sustainable enterprises.

Support young people in creating their own livelihoods, becoming financially self-reliant and generating employment opportunities within their communities.

Develop spiritually grounded leaders and changemakers who use their knowledge, talents and resources to uplift their families, churches and communities.
